Hadith 429:19
Hujayn ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Sulayman ibn Surad, from Jubayr ibn Mut'im, he said: We discussed the washing for major ritual impurity (janabah) in the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "As for me, I take a handful of my palms three times, and I pour it over my head, then I pour it after that over the rest of my body."
حدثنا حجين بن المثنى، قال: حدثنا إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن سليمان بن صرد، عن جبير بن مطعم، قال: تذاكرنا غسل الجنابة عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أما أنا فآخذ ملء كفي ثلاثا، فأصب على رأسي، ثم أفيضه بعد على سائر جسدي "
