Hadith 429:40
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from his father, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Indeed, I have names: I am Ahmad, and I am Muhammad, and I am al-Mahi (the Effacer) by whom Allah effaces disbelief, and I am al-Hashir (the Gatherer) at whose feet the people are gathered, and I am al-'Aqib (the Successor)." Ma'mar said: I said to al-Zuhri: "What is al-'Aqib?" He said: "The one after whom there is no prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، قال: حدثنا معمر، عن الزهري، عن محمد بن جبير بن مطعم، عن أبيه، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " إن لي أسماء، أنا أحمد، وأنا محمد، وأنا الماحي الذي يمحو الله بي الكفر، وأنا الحاشر الذي يحشر الناس على قدمي، وأنا العاقب " قال معمر: قلت للزهري: ما العاقب؟ قال: " الذي ليس بعده نبي صلى الله عليه وسلم "
