Hadith 429:49
Waki’ and ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Sulayman ibn Surad, from Jubayr ibn Mut’im, who said: We discussed ghusl (ritual bathing) from janabah (major ritual impurity) in the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "As for me, I pour three handfuls over my head." And ‘Abd al-Rahman said: Janabah was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said: "As for me, I take three handfuls with my palms and pour them over my head."
حدثنا وكيع، وعبد الرحمن ، عن سفيان، عن أبي إسحاق، عن سليمان بن صرد، عن جبير بن مطعم، قال: تذاكرنا الغسل من الجنابة عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: " أما أنا فأفيض على رأسي ثلاثا " وقال عبد الرحمن: ذكرت الجنابة عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: " أما أنا فآخذ بكفي ثلاثا، فأفيض على رأسي "
