Hadith 429:53
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, he said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from ‘Asim al-‘Anazi, from Ibn Jubayr ibn Mut‘im, from his father. And Yazid ibn Harun said: From Nafi‘ ibn Jubayr ibn Mut‘im, from his father, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he entered into prayer, and he said: "Allah is the Greatest, greatly; Allah is the Greatest, greatly; Allah is the Greatest, greatly. Praise be to Allah, morning and evening" — three times — "Glory be to Allah, morning and evening" — three times — "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, from his *hamz* (stifling/madness), his *nafkh* (pride), and his *nafth* (poetry)." ‘Amr said: "His *hamz* is the stifling (or madness), his *nafkh* is pride, and his *nafth* is poetry."
