Hadith 681:13
Waki’ and ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, they said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, he said: I heard Jundub saying—‘Abd al-Rahman said: al-Bajali—he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever lets people hear [of his good deeds to show off], Allah will let people hear [of his true intentions]. And whoever shows off, Allah will show off [his true intentions] to the people."
حدثنا وكيع، وعبد الرحمن، قالا: حدثنا سفيان، عن سلمة بن كهيل، قال: سمعت جندبا يقول:، قال عبد الرحمن: البجلي قال:، قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من يسمع يسمع الله به، ومن يرائي يرائي الله به "
