Hadith 681:5
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, 'Imran—meaning al-Qattan—narrated to us, he said: I heard al-Hasan narrating from Jundub, that a man was afflicted with a wound, so he was carried to his house. His wound pained him, so he took out an arrow from his quiver and stabbed himself in his throat. They mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said, in what he narrates from his Lord, Exalted and Majestic is He: "He hastened [the end of] his life before Me."
حدثنا عبد الصمد، حدثنا عمران يعني القطان، قال: سمعت الحسن يحدث، عن جندب، أن رجلا أصابته جراحة، فحمل إلى بيته، فآلمت جراحته، فاستخرج سهما من كنانته، فطعن به في لبته، فذكروا ذلك عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال فيما يروي عن ربه عز وجل: " سابقني بنفسه . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
