Hadith 681:7
Ubaydah ibn Humayd narrated to us, Al-Aswad ibn Qays narrated to me, from Jundub ibn Sufyan al-Bajali, then al-Alaqi, that he prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of Adha. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed, and there he was with the meat and the slaughtered animals of the sacrifice. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) realized that they had been slaughtered before he prayed. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever slaughtered before we prayed, let him slaughter another in its place. And whoever has not slaughtered until we prayed, let him slaughter in the name of Allah."
حدثنا عبيدة بن حميد، حدثني الأسود بن قيس، عن جندب بن سفيان البجلي ثم العلقي، أنه صلى مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم أضحى، فانصرف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فإذا هو باللحم وذبائح الأضحى، فعرف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أنها ذبحت قبل أن يصلي، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من كان ذبح قبل أن نصلي، فليذبح مكانها أخرى، ومن لم يكن ذبح حتى صلينا، فليذبح باسم الله "
