Hadith of Ka‘b ibn Malik (RA)

Hadith 1227:7

Muhammad ibn Bakr and Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Ibn Shihab narrated to me, that Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd Allah ibn Ka'b narrated to him, from his father, Abd Allah ibn Ka'b ibn Malik, from his uncle—Abd al-Razzaq said: And from his uncle Ubayd Allah ibn Ka'b—from Ka'b ibn Malik, who said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would not arrive from a journey except during the day, in the forenoon (al-duha). And when he arrived, he would begin with the mosque, pray two rak'ahs in it, and then sit in it."
