Musnad Ahmad 612:4

He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, invoked [a curse] against Mudar. He said: So I came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah has granted you victory, given you, and answered you, and your people have perished, so invoke Allah for them." He turned away from him. He said: So I said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah has granted you victory, given you, and answered you, and your people have perished, so invoke Allah for them." He said: "O Allah, grant us a rain that is succoring, fertile, widespread, abundant, not delayed, beneficial, not harmful." It was not but a week, or thereabouts, until they were rained upon. Shu'bah said: "In the supplication, there is a word I heard from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Salim, regarding the prayer for rain. And in the hadith of Habib, or 'Amr, from Salim, he said: 'I have come to you from a people for whom no stallion camel is left, and for whom no shepherd can provide provisions.'"
