Hadith of Ka'b ibn Murrah al-Sulami or Murrah ibn Ka'b
حديث كعب بن مرة السلمي أو مرة بن كعب
Hadith 612:8
He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying—and a man came to him and said: "Ask Allah for rain for Mudar." He said: He replied, "You are indeed bold! For Mudar?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, you sought victory from Allah and He granted you victory, and you called upon Allah and He answered you." He said: So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, raised his hands, saying: "O Allah, give us a rain that is aiding, fertile, wholesome, widespread, abundant, immediate, not delayed, beneficial, not harmful." He said: So they were revived. He said: It was not long before they came to him and complained to him about the excess of the rain, and they said: "The houses have collapsed." He said: So he raised his hands and said: "O Allah, around us and not upon us." He said: So the clouds began to break apart to the right and to the left.
