Hadith 625:18
Ishaq ibn Sulayman al-Razi narrated to us, Mughira ibn Muslim informed me, from Matar al-Warraq, from Ibn Sirin, from Ka'b ibn 'Ujra, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned a tribulation, and he brought it near and magnified it. He said: "Then a man passed by, covered in a garment." He said: "This one, on that day, will be upon the truth." So I set off quickly—or he said: hastening—and I took hold of his upper arms, and I said: "This one, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "This one." And behold, it was Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him).
حدثنا إسحاق بن سليمان الرازي، أخبرني مغيرة بن مسلم، عن مطر الوراق، عن ابن سيرين، عن كعب بن عجرة، قال: ذكر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فتنة فقربها، وعظمها، قال: ثم مر رجل متقنع في ملحفة، فقال: " هذا يومئذ على الحق " فانطلقت مسرعا، أو قال: محضرا، فأخذت بضبعيه، فقلت: هذا يا رسول الله؟ قال: " هذا " فإذا هو عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه
