Hadith of Khabbab ibn al-Aratt (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 908:21

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Harithah ibn Mudarrib, who said: I entered upon Khabbab, and he had been cauterized seven times. He said: "Had I not heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'None of you should wish for death,' I would have wished for it. I have seen myself with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, not possessing a single dirham, and now there are forty thousand dirhams in the side of my house." He said: "Then his shroud was brought to him. When he saw it, he wept and said: 'But Hamzah, no shroud was found for him except a striped cloak; if it was placed over his head, it shrank away from his feet, and if it was placed over his feet, it shrank away from his head, until it was pulled over his head, and Idhkhir (lemon grass) was placed over his feet.'"
