Hadith of Khabbab ibn al-Aratt (RA)

من حديث خباب بن الأرت

Hadith 1234:0

From the hadith of Khabbab ibn al-Aratt: We complained to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was reclining on a mantle of his in the shade of the Kaaba. We said to him, "Will you not ask for help for us? Will you not supplicate to Allah for us?" He sat up, his face turning red, and said, "There were men before you, where a man would be taken and a pit would be dug for him in the earth, then he would be placed in it. Then a saw would be brought and placed upon his head, and he would be split into two halves, yet that would not turn him away from his religion. And iron combs would tear through his flesh and nerves, yet that would not turn him away from his religion." He then said, "By Allah, this matter will surely be perfected, until a rider travels from Sana'a to Hadramaut, fearing nothing but Allah and the wolf for his sheep, but you are a people who are hasty."
