Hadith of Khawlah bint Qays, the wife of Hamzah bin Abdul-Muttalib (RA).

حديث خولة بنت قيس امرأة حمزة بن عبد المطلب

Hadith 1211:0

Narrated Khawlah bint Qays, the wife of Hamzah ibn Abd al-Muttalib: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Verily, this wealth is sweet and green. Whoever takes it with a generous soul, it is blessed for him; and whoever takes it with a greedy soul, it is not blessed for him, and he is like one who eats and is never satisfied. The upper hand is better than the lower hand." Khawlah said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, by the One who sent you with the truth, I will not ask anyone for anything after you until I meet Allah." Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) used to call her to give her a share, but she would refuse to take it from him. Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would call her to give her a share, and she would refuse to take it from him. She would say, "I have no need for anything from anyone."
