Hadith of Khaythama ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father
Hadith 522:3
Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Abu Waki’ narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Khaythama ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sabra, that his father, ‘Abd al-Rahman, went with his grandfather to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him, "What is your son's name?" He said, "Aziz." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not name him Aziz, but name him ‘Abd al-Rahman." Then he said, "Indeed, the best of names are ‘Abd Allah, ‘Abd al-Rahman, and al-Harith."
