Musnad Ahmad 944:10

Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from ‘Amr ibn Maymun, from Abu ‘Abd Allah al-Jadali, that he heard him narrating from Khuzaymah ibn Thabit: We asked the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about wiping over the leather socks. He granted a concession to the traveler for three days and their nights, and to the resident for a day and a night. ‘Abd Allah said: My father said: I heard it from Sufyan twice, mentioning: "for the resident," and if the questioner had been persistent in his questioning, he would have added more for them.
