Musnad Ahmad 944:13

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Hammad and Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Abu ‘Abdullah al-Jadali, from Khuzaymah ibn Thabit, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) set three days for the traveler, and a day and a night for the resident [for wiping over the socks]."
