Hadith 944:2

Isma'il narrated to us, Hisham al-Dastawa'i narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Ibrahim, from Abu 'Abd Allah al-Jadali, from Khuzaymah ibn Thabit, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to say: "The traveler wipes over the leather socks for three nights and days, and the resident for a day and a night."
