Musnad Ahmad 944:31

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Ma'shar, from al-Nakha'i, from Abu 'Abd Allah al-Jadali, from Khuzaymah ibn Thabit al-Ansari, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Three days and their nights are for the traveler, and a day and a night are for the resident."
