Hadith 77:1
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Abu al-Huwayrith Hafs, from the descendants of 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As, narrated to me, he said: 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya'la ibn Ka'b narrated to me, from Maymunah bint Kardam, from her father, Kardam ibn Sufyan, that he asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about a vow he had made during the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah). The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "Was it for an idol or for a stone monument?" He said: "No, but rather for Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He." He said: "Then fulfill for Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, what you have pledged to Him. Sacrifice at Buwanah, and fulfill your vow."
حدثنا عبد الصمد، حدثني أبو الحويرث حفص من ولد عثمان بن أبي العاص، قال: حدثني عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن يعلى بن كعب، عن ميمونة بنت كردم، عن أبيها كردم بن سفيان، أنه سأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن نذر نذره في الجاهلية، فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ألوثن أو لنصب؟ " قال: لا، ولكن لله تبارك وتعالى، قال: " فأوف لله تبارك وتعالى ما جعلت له، انحر على بوانة، وأوف بنذرك "
