Musnad Ahmad 1218:1

Ya'qub narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, he said: Nuh ibn Hakim al-Thaqafi—who was a reciter of the Quran—narrated to me, from a man from the Banu 'Urwah ibn Mas'ud called Dawud, whom Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had given birth to, from Layla bint Qanif al-Thaqafiyyah, she said: I was among those who washed Umm Kulthum, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, at the time of her death. "The first thing the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave us was the waist-wrapper (al-hiqa), then the shirt (al-dir'), then the head covering (al-khimar), then the outer sheet (al-mulhafa), and then she was wrapped after that in the other garment." She said: "And the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was sitting at the door, with her shroud in his possession, handing it to us garment by garment."
