Hadith 833:10

'Affan narrated to us, Aban al-'Attar narrated to us, Budayl ibn Maysarah narrated to us, Abu 'Atiyyah, the freed slave of Mana, narrated to us, from Malik ibn al-Huwayrith, who said: He used to come to our place of prayer. When the prayer was called, it was said to him: "Step forward and lead the prayer." He said: "Let one of you lead the prayer, until I tell you why I do not lead you in prayer. When the people had prayed, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'If one of you visits a people, he must not lead them in prayer; rather, a man from among them should lead them in prayer.'"
