Musnad Ahmad 833:11

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from Abu Qilabah, from Malik ibn al-Huwayrith al-Laythi, that he said to his companions one day: "Shall I not show you how the prayer of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was?" He said: And that was at a time other than prayer time. "So he stood, and he made the standing firm, then he bowed, and he made the bowing firm, then he raised his head and stood upright for a short while, then he prostrated, then he raised his head and said the takbir while sitting, then he waited for a short while, then he prostrated." Abu Qilabah said: So he prayed a prayer like the prayer of this sheikh of ours, meaning Amr ibn Salamah al-Jarmi, and he used to lead the prayer during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Ayyub said: I saw Amr ibn Salamah doing something I do not see you doing: "When he raised his head from the two prostrations, he would sit upright, then he would stand from the first and third rak'ah."
