Musnad Ahmad 203:4

Ubaydah ibn Humayd Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Taymi narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Za’ra’ narrated to us, from Abu al-Ahwas, from his father Malik ibn Nadlah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The hands are three: the hand of Allah is the uppermost, the hand of the giver is the one that follows it, and the hand of the asker is the lowermost. So give what is surplus, and do not be incapable regarding yourself."
