Hadith 639:1
Isma'il narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Burdah, from a man among the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "O people, repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for I repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness one hundred times every day." I said to him: "O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness; O Allah, I repent to You: is it two or one?" He said: "It is that," or something similar to this.
حدثنا إسماعيل، حدثنا يونس، عن حميد بن هلال، عن أبي بردة، عن رجل، من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يا أيها الناس توبوا إلى الله واستغفروه، فإني أتوب إلى الله، وأستغفره في كل يوم مائة مرة " فقلت له: اللهم إني أستغفرك، اللهم إني أتوب إليك: اثنتان أم واحدة؟ فقال: " هو ذاك " أو نحو هذا
