Hadith 683:1
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam, who said: I heard Ibn Abi Layla narrating from a man among the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "Do not intercept merchandise (before it reaches the market), and let no town-dweller sell for a desert-dweller. And whoever buys a milk-retaining ewe or a she-camel"—Shu‘bah said: He only said 'she-camel' once—"he has the choice for three days. If he milks it and returns it, he must return with it a sa‘ of food." Al-Hakam said: Or he said, "a sa‘ of dates."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن الحكم، قال: سمعت ابن أبي ليلى، يحدث، عن رجل، من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا يتلقى جلب، ولا يبع حاضر لباد، ومن اشترى شاة مصراة أو ناقة، قال شعبة: إنما قال ناقة مرة واحدة، فهو منها بآخر النظرين، إذا هو حلب إن ردها، رد معها صاعا من طعام "، قال الحكم: أو قال: " صاعا من تمر "
