Hadith 683:5
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abis, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from a man among the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade cupping for the fasting person, and [he forbade] continuous fasting (wisal), but he did not declare it forbidden for any of his companions. They said: "O Messenger of Allah, you practice continuous fasting until the pre-dawn meal (sahar)." He said: "I practice continuous fasting until the pre-dawn meal, and my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, feeds me and gives me drink."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، حدثنا سفيان، عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس، عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى، عن رجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الحجامة للصائم، والمواصلة ولم يحرمها على أحد من أصحابه، قالوا: يا رسول الله، إنك تواصل إلى السحر، فقال: " إني أواصل إلى السحر، وإن ربي عز وجل يطعمني ويسقيني "
