Hadith 683:6
'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Rib'i ibn Hirash, from some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: "The people woke up having completed thirty days. Then two Bedouins came and testified that they had sighted the crescent yesterday evening. So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) commanded the people to break their fast."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، قال: حدثنا سفيان، عن منصور، عن ربعي بن حراش، عن بعض أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " أصبح الناس لتمام ثلاثين يوما، فجاء أعرابيان فشهدا أنهما أهلاه بالأمس عشية ، " فأمر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الناس أن يفطروا " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
