Hadith 854:1
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Umawi narrated to us, from 'Asim, who said: Abu al-'Aliyah narrated to us, who said: Someone who heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say informed me: "For every surah, there is its share of bowing and prostration." He said: Then I met him afterward, and I said to him: "Ibn 'Umar used to recite surahs in the rak'ah, so do you know who told you this hadith?" He said: "I certainly know him, and I know how long ago he told it to me; he told it to me fifty years ago."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد الأموي، عن عاصم، قال: حدثنا أبو العالية، قال: أخبرني من سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " لكل سورة حظها من الركوع والسجود "، قال: ثم لقيته بعد، فقلت له: " إن ابن عمر كان يقرأ في الركعة بالسور، فتعرف من حدثك هذا الحديث؟ " قال: إني لأعرفه، وأعرف منذ كم حدثنيه، حدثني منذ خمسين سنة
