Hadith 206:3
Jarir narrated to us, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from Harb ibn Hilal al-Thaqafi, from Abu Umayyah, a man from Banu Taghlib, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "There is no 'ushr (tithe/tax) upon the Muslims; the 'ushr is only upon the Jews and the Christians."
حدثنا جرير، عن عطاء بن السائب، عن حرب بن هلال الثقفي، عن أبي أمية ، رجل من بني تغلب، أنه سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " ليس على المسلمين عشور، إنما العشور على اليهود، والنصارى "
