Hadith of a man from Banu Sulait (RA)
حديث رجل من بني سليط
Hadith 801:0
Narrated to us by Hisham ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Abu Salit, from his father, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was in the mosque. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me something that Allah may benefit me with." He said: "Sit." So I sat. He said: "What is the most beloved of deeds to Allah?" I said: "I do not know." He said: "The most beloved of deeds to Allah is to believe in Allah, then to maintain ties of kinship, then to enjoin good and forbid evil." He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the most hateful of deeds to Allah?" He said: "I do not know." He said: "The most hateful of deeds to Allah is to associate partners with Allah." I said: "Then what?" He said: "To sever ties of kinship." I said: "Then what?" He said: "To enjoin evil and forbid good."
