Hadith 1046:1
Jarir narrated to us, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from Harb ibn Hilal al-Thaqafi, from Abu Umayyah, a man from Taghlib, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "There is no 'ushr (tithe/tax) upon the Muslims; the 'ushr is only upon the Jews and the Christians."
حدثنا جرير، عن عطاء بن السائب، عن حرب بن هلال الثقفي، عن أبي أمية رجل من تغلب، أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " ليس على المسلمين عشور إنما العشور على اليهود والنصارى "
