Hadith of a man from Thaqif from his father
حديث رجل من ثقيف عن أبيه
Hadith 392:0
A man from Thaqif narrated from his father, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you to ask you about something." He said: "Ask what you wish, or if you wish, I will tell you what you came to ask about." I said: "Tell me, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "You came to ask me about prayer, about fasting, about the Hajj, and about charity." I said: "By Him who sent you with the truth, that is indeed what I came to ask about." He said: "As for your prayer, perform the five prayers that Allah has prescribed for you within your day and night. As for your fasting, fast the month of Ramadan. As for your Hajj, perform the Hajj to the House (the Kaaba). As for your charity, take it from your wealth and give it to your poor." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what about the land of my people? We are a people who drink honey and we have grapes." He said: "There is no charity in honey, and there is no charity in grapes." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what about the land of my people? We are a people who have land, and we have debts." He said: "Pay your debts, and your land will be yours."
