Hadith 806:25
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Zayd—meaning Ibn Murrah Abu al-Mu'alla—narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: Ma'qil ibn Yasar became heavy [with illness], so 'Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad entered upon him to visit him. He said: "Do you know, O Ma'qil, if I have shed blood?" He said: "I do not know." He said: "Do you know if I have interfered in any of the prices of the Muslims?" He said: "I do not know." He said: "Seat me up." Then he said: "Listen, O 'Ubayd Allah, until I tell you something I did not hear from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once or twice. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Whoever interferes in any of the prices of the Muslims to make it expensive for them, then it is a right upon Allah to seat him in a great fire on the Day of Resurrection.'" He said: "Did you hear it from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He said: "Yes, not once or twice."
حدثنا عبد الصمد، حدثنا زيد يعني ابن مرة أبو المعلى، عن الحسن، قال: ثقل معقل بن يسار، فدخل إليه عبيد الله بن زياد يعوده، فقال: هل تعلم يا معقل أني سفكت دما؟ قال: ما علمت، قال: هل تعلم أني دخلت في شيء من أسعار المسلمين؟ قال: ما علمت، قال: أجلسوني، ثم قال: اسمع يا عبيد الله حتى أحدثك شيئا لم أسمعه من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مرة ولا مرتين، سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من دخل في شيء من أسعار المسلمين ليغليه عليهم، فإن حقا على الله أن يقعده بعظم من النار يوم القيامة "، قال: أنت سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: نعم غير مرة ولا مرتين
