Hadith 806:3
Isma'il narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, that Ma'qil ibn Yasar fell ill, and Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad entered upon him to visit him. He said: "I shall narrate to you a hadith that I have not narrated to you before. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)—or indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)—say: 'Allah does not place a servant in charge of subjects, such that he dies on the day he dies while he is deceitful toward them, except that Allah forbids Paradise to him.'"
حدثنا إسماعيل، عن يونس، عن الحسن، أن معقل بن يسار اشتكى، فدخل عليه عبيد الله بن زياد، يعوده، فقال: أما إني سأحدثك حديثا لم أكن حدثتك به، إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، أو إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا يسترعي الله عبدا رعية، فيموت يوم يموت وهو لها غاش، إلا حرم الله عليه الجنة "
