Hadith 860:1
Yunus and Husayn narrated to us, they said: Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Mudharib ibn Hazn al-Ijli, he said: And Marthad ibn Dhabyan narrated, he said: A letter came to us from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and we did not find a scribe for it who could read it to us, until a man from Banu Dhubay'ah read it: "From the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to Bakr ibn Wa'il: Submit, and you shall be safe."
حدثنا يونس، وحسين، قالا: حدثنا شيبان، عن قتادة، عن مضارب بن حزن العجلي، قال: وحدث مرثد بن ظبيان، قال: جاءنا كتاب من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فما وجدنا له كاتبا يقرؤه علينا، حتى قرأه رجل من بني ضبيعة: " من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى بكر بن وائل، أسلموا تسلموا "
