Musnad Ahmad 1163:39

'Abd al-Razzaq and Ibn Bakr narrated to us, they said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Manbudh informed me that his mother informed him that while she was sitting with Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Ibn Abbas entered upon her. She said: "What is the matter with you, disheveled?" He said: "The mother of 'Ammar, my hair-dresser, is menstruating." She said: "O my son, and where is the menstruation from the hand? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to enter upon one of us while she was reclining and menstruating, and he knew that she was menstruating, so he would recline upon her and recite the Quran while reclining upon her. Or he would enter upon her while she was sitting and she was menstruating, so he would recline in her lap and recite the Quran while reclining in her lap. And she would stand while she was menstruating and spread out the prayer mat (khumrah) for him in his place of prayer—Ibn Bakr said: 'his prayer mat'—and he would pray upon it in my house. O my son, and where is the menstruation from the hand?"
