Hadith 835:4
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Sa‘id narrated to us, from Matar, from Mu‘awiyah ibn Qurrah, from a man of the Ansar, that a man caused his camel to step on an ostrich nest while he was in the state of ihram, and it broke its eggs. He went to ‘Ali and asked him about that. ‘Ali said to him: "Upon you for every egg is the fetus of a she-camel, or the covering of a she-camel." He went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and mentioned that to him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "‘Ali has said what you heard, but come to the concession: upon you for every egg is fasting, or feeding a poor person."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا سعيد، عن مطر، عن معاوية بن قرة، عن رجل من الأنصار، أن رجلا أوطأ بعيره أدحي نعام، وهو محرم، فكسر بيضها، فانطلق إلى علي، فسأله عن ذلك، فقال له علي، عليك بكل بيضة جنين ناقة، أو ضراب ناقة، فانطلق إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: فذكر ذلك له، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " قد قال علي بما سمعت، ولكن هلم إلى الرخصة، عليك بكل بيضة صوم، أو إطعام مسكين " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
