Musnad Ahmad 820:1

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Kahmas and Yazid narrated to us, he said: Kahmas informed us, he said: I heard ‘Abdullah ibn Shaqiq say: Mihjan ibn al-Adra‘ said: The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent me on an errand. Then he encountered me while I was exiting through one of the paths of Medina. He said: So I went with him until we ascended Mount Uhud. He faced Medina and said: "Woe to its mother, a village, on the day its people abandon it." Yazid said: "At its most ripe state." He said: I said: O Prophet of Allah, who will eat its fruit? He said: "The birds and the beasts of prey." He said: "And the Dajjal shall not enter it. Every time he intends to enter it, he will be met at every mountain pass of it by an angel with a drawn sword." He said: Then we proceeded until we were at the gate of the mosque. He said: There was a man praying. He said: "Do you consider him sincere?" He said: I said: O Prophet of Allah, this is so-and-so, and he is one of the best people of Medina—or he said: one of the people of Medina who prays the most. He said: "Do not let him hear you, for you will destroy him"—he said it twice or three times—"Verily, you are a nation for whom ease is intended."
