Hadith of Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (RA)

Hadith 132:14

Hassan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Zaban narrated to us, Sahl narrated to us, from his father, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that he commanded his companions to go on a military expedition. A man stayed behind and said to his family: "I will stay behind until I pray Dhuhr with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then I will greet him and bid him farewell, so he may supplicate for me with a supplication that will be an intercession on the Day of Resurrection." When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had prayed, the man approached to greet him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: "Do you know by how much your companions have preceded you?" He said: "Yes, they preceded me by their morning departure." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, they have preceded you by the furthest distance between the two Easts and the two Wests in virtue."
