Hadith 961:100
Abu Sa’id narrated to us, Za’idah narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Mu’adh, who said: Two men reviled each other in the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and one of them became angry, to the point that it seemed to me as if his nose would tear apart from anger. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I certainly know a word that, if this angry person were to say it, his anger would depart from him: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan' (Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min ash-shaytan ar-rajim)."
حدثنا أبو سعيد، حدثنا زائدة، حدثنا عبد الملك، عن ابن أبي ليلى، عن معاذ قال: استب رجلان عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فغضب أحدهما حتى أنه ليخيل إلي أن أنفه ليتمزع من الغضب. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إني لأعلم كلمة لو يقولها هذا الغضبان لذهب عنه الغضب: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الشيطان الرجيم "
