Hadith 961:141
Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Amir al-Aslami narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Mu’adh, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Seek refuge in Allah from a greed that leads to a nature [of baseness], and from greed for that which is not a place for greed, and from greed where there is no place for greed."
حدثنا عثمان بن عمر، حدثنا عبد الله بن عامر الأسلمي، عن الوليد بن عبد الرحمن، عن جبير بن نفير، عن معاذ، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " استعيذوا بالله من طمع يهدي إلى طبع، ومن طمع في غير مطمع، ومن طمع حيث لا مطمع "
