Hadith 961:20
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Abi Hakim, from ‘Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from Yahya ibn Ya‘mar, from Abu al-Aswad al-Du’ali, who said: Mu‘adh was in Yemen, and they brought a case before him regarding a Jew who died and left behind a brother who was a Muslim. Mu‘adh said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'Indeed, Islam increases and does not decrease.'" So he granted him the inheritance.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن عمرو بن أبي حكيم، عن عبد الله بن بريدة، عن يحيى بن يعمر، عن أبي الأسود الديلي، قال: كان معاذ باليمن فارتفعوا إليه في يهودي مات وترك أخاه مسلما، فقال معاذ: إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " إن الإسلام يزيد ولا ينقص " فورثه
