Hadith 961:55
'Affan and Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Zayd—Hasan said in his narration: 'Ali ibn Zayd informed us—from Abu al-Malih—Hasan said: al-Hudhali—from Rawh ibn 'Abid, from Abu al-'Awwam, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: I was riding behind the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on a red camel. He said: "O Mu'adh." I said: "At your service." He said: "Do you know what is the right of Allah upon the servants?" He said: So I said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said it three times, and I said that three times. Then he said: "His right is that they worship Him and do not associate anything with Him." Then he said: "Do you know what is the right of the servants upon Allah if they do that?" I said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said it three times, and I said that three times. He said: "Their right upon Him, if they do that, is that He forgives them and admits them into Paradise."
