Hadith 961:86
Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, Yahya ibn Ayyub informed us, that Ubaydullah ibn Zahr narrated to him, from Khalid ibn Abi Imran, from Abu Ayyash, who said: Mu’adh ibn Jabal said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you wish, I will inform you what is the first thing Allah will say to the believers on the Day of Resurrection, and what is the first thing they will say to Him?" We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Indeed, Allah will say to the believers: 'Did you love to meet Me?' They will say: 'Yes, O our Lord.' He will say: 'Why?' They will say: 'We hoped for Your pardon and Your forgiveness.' He will say: 'My forgiveness has become incumbent for you.'"
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق، أخبرنا عبد الله، أخبرنا يحيى بن أيوب، أن عبيد الله بن زحر حدثه، عن خالد بن أبي عمران، عن أبي عياش قال: قال معاذ بن جبل: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن شئتم أنبأتكم ما أول ما يقول الله للمؤمنين يوم القيامة، وما أول ما يقولون له؟ " قلنا: نعم يا رسول الله. قال: " إن الله يقول للمؤمنين: هل أحببتم لقائي؟ فيقولون: نعم يا ربنا. فيقول: لم؟ فيقولون: رجونا عفوك، ومغفرتك. فيقول قد وجبت لكم مغفرتي "
