Hadith 961:9
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sufyan and 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, they said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Maymun, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: I was riding behind the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said: "Do you know what is the right of Allah upon His servants?" I said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "That they should worship Him and not associate anything with Him." He said: "Do you know what is the right of the servants upon Allah if they do that? That He should forgive them and not punish them." Ma'mar said in his narration: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I not give the people the glad tidings?" He said: "Leave them to work."
