Musnad Ahmad 112:0

Mu'awiyah al-Laythi reported: I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you to seek your counsel." He said, "I advise you to fear Allah, and to be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to speak the truth and strives to be truthful until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful one (Siddiq)." "And beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man continues to lie and strives to lie until he is recorded with Allah as a liar (Kadhdhab)." "And I advise you to fulfill your trusts, for it is a means of enrichment. And I advise you to abandon betrayal, for it is a means of poverty. And I advise you to be mindful of your neighbors, for that will increase your lifespan and make your homes prosperous."
