Abu Salamah al-Khuza'i narrated to us, Layth—meaning Ibn Sa'd—informed us, from Yazid ibn al-Had, from 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn Abi Bakr, from Ibn Shihab, from Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Whoever Allah intends good for, He grants him understanding of the religion. And this nation will continue to be a nation standing upon the command of Allah; those who oppose them will not harm them until the command of Allah comes, while they are dominant over the people."
