'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Jabalah ibn 'Atiyyah, from Ibn Muhayriz—Bahz said: 'Abd Allah ibn Muhayriz—from Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, intends good for a servant, He grants him understanding of the religion."
