Musnad Ahmad 435:23

Shuja' ibn al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Uthman ibn Hakim mentioned, from Ziyad ibn Abi Ziyad, from Mu'awiyah, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying upon these wooden steps (the minbar): "O Allah, there is no preventer for what You have given, and no giver for what You have prevented, and the fortune of the fortunate person does not benefit him against You. Whomever Allah intends good for, He grants him understanding of the religion."
